G.E. Hendry

A Celebration of Life Service for G.E. \"Dick\" Hendry, 93, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Boyles Chapel, 36 Boyles Chapel Road, Waynesboro, Mississippi. Interment will follow in the Boyles Chapel Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Born on July 16, 1926, Dick was raised and educated in Wayne County, Mississippi. He and his family moved to Harlingen, Texas in 1955 and he worked for the U.S. Department of Justice as a Border Patrol Agent. After retiring in 1976, he and his wife, Mary, moved to Clara, Mississippi, where they were a member of First Baptist Church of Clara and he was a member of Chicora Masonic Lodge. He had many passions, including the law, hunting and guns. Dick passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 as he was reunited with his beloved wife, Mary Bayne Hendry. At the time of his death, he was surrounded by his loving family at his daughter\'s home in Shreveport, Louisiana. He is survived by his daughters: Vonda Wetherold & husband, Paul, Syvon Wetherold & Jacob, Joshua, Mary Alex Brammer. Wonda Waldron & husband, Gary, William Wallace & wife, Karen, Ryder & Ransom. Sonda Hendry, Kevin Cryer & wife, Dawn, Blake, Jonah & Dustin. Kelly Crawford & husband, Robert, Brady, MaryElla & Madeline. Kristi West & husband, John. He is also survived by other family members including brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank, Dr. Michael Angelo, Regional Hospice, Jessica & Gloria. Sonda would like to especially thank her children, Kevin, Kelly, Kristi & grandson Brady for their constant help, love and support.
