He had a compassionate heart and a special place in it for those who could not speak for themselves. Gary rescued every animal he could, offering care and kindness to those in need. His love for animals was a reflection of the compassion he carried throughout his life.

Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Dawn Whitis; his daughter, Michelle McDonnell, and her husband, Daniel; and his three cherished grandchildren, Bennett, Parker, and Tilly McDonnell. He is also survived by his sister, Joyce Timms and her husband David.

Gary's life was marked by service, compassion, and a love that extended to both people and animals. He leaves behind a family who loved him and memories that will remain in their hearts. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched, the community he served, and the animals he rescued along the way.
