On July 2, 2026, Fredrick Ray Carter completed his journey here on Earth and entered Heaven, where every burden was lifted, every weakness made strong, and every tear wiped away.
Fredrick was born August 12, 1958, as the first son of Jesse Dale and Wanda Maxine (Moak) Carter in Homer, LA. He was a 1976 graduate of Arcadia High School and retired from Haynes International in Arcadia after 21 years. He was a faithful member of Simsboro First Baptist Church for many years where he served in many areas and enjoyed being a part of several mission trips.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents; brother, James (Pete) Carter; son-in-law, Lance Bryan; and great-grandson, Grayson Allums.
Fred is survived by his wife of 40 years, Terri (Bozeman) Carter; daughter, Nikki Bryan; sons, Thomas Carter and Stephen Carter; brothers, Jay Carter (Judy), and David Carter (Diana); 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind many cherished extended family members, dear friends, and all those whose lives were blessed by knowing him.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026 at Simsboro First Baptist Church with funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. The burial will follow at Hurricane Cemetery. Bro. Jason Cole will officiate the services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the
Honoring Fred as pallbearers will be Ross Moak, David Carter, Jesse Carter, Matt Allums, Britton Allums, Tyler Bryan, Kane Norred, and Clint Sanders.
Muscular Dystrophy Association in hopes of one day finding a cure in honor of Fred.
The body that knew limitations has been made new, and the soul that inspired so many now rejoices in the presence of Jesus.
