Frank Richard England

Funeral services for Frank Richard England, 79, will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery in Beckville, Texas. Officiating the service will be Brother Dan Lay. A visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Frank was the son of Chester and Barbara Redmon England. He was born February 21, 1941 in Shreveport, LA and passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at his residence in Shreveport. Mr. England was a hard-working, mechanically gifted man. His love of cars and talent with autobody and painting started out as a hobby in the 1960's. He taught his sons the trade and they all established Doug's Paint & Body Shop in North Shreveport, in 1986. He also worked for Arkla Gas Company, and retired from there after 40 years of service. He was an inventor, and patented a special tool used in the natural gas industry during his time at Arkla. He loved to fish and hunt, and in his later years, enjoyed working on outboard boat motors and soon became renowned for his skill. People from miles away called on him for his expertise. He was a big-hearted man and would help anyone in need. Frank is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Billy Hugh. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years, Eleanor Glynn Vascocu England; children, Doug England and wife, Lisa England, Frank "Bubba" England and wife, Daniele England, and Terry Johns; grandchildren, Devynn Alexander and husband, Colter Alexander, Spencer England and Presley England; great-grandchild, Cole Alexander; brother, Jerry England and wife, Sandra England. The family would like to thank Emily, Jamie, Hailey, Precious, Shirley, Marsha, LB, Stephanie, Chaplain Sam and all the nurses and caregivers at St. Joseph Hospice for the loving care and comfort they gave during his final days.
