Francis Berthrand Roubique

Francis Berthrand "Bert" Roubique III, 72, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 19,2021 at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, Louisiana. Bert was born December 4, 1948 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Raymond Charles and Evelyn Rockhold Roubique. He enlisted in the United States Marines and served in Vietnam. He married the love of his life, Beth, on August 27, 1983. They welcomed their only child, Sarah, in 1985. His greatest loves were his granddaughters, Ryleigh and Addy. Bert was wrapped around their fingers from the first moment he saw his granddaughters. Bert was a loving, loyal husband, father, and Pawpaw. He loved spending time with all of "his girls" and never missed an opportunity to find a teachable moment in any activity. He showed them what true love, loyalty, compassion, honor, and love of The United States are. He loved being outdoors and camping, passed that love on to his wife, daughter, and granddaughters and many wonderful memories around campfires were made over the years. He also loved riding his Harley Davidson, working with his hands, watching crime shows, and building model cars. He is already greatly missed but will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Bert is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, of 37 years, Beth; daughter, Sarah Roubique Quarles; granddaughters, Ryleigh and Addalynn; sisters, Gerrie Englade, Cheryl Roubique, and Kristy Roubique; and many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials may be made to two charities that were close to Bert's heart.
