Frances Katzenstein Zadeck

Frances Katzenstein Zadeck, 93, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away at home on November 7, 2025. Frances was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, where she spent her entire life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Donald J. Zadeck and her eldest son Donald J. Zadeck, Jr. Frances will live on in the memories of her daughter, Julie Zadeck, her son, F. Kenneth Zadeck, her daughter-in-law, Lisa Weiss, and her beloved granddaughter, Rebecca H. Zadeck.

Frances attended Sophie Newcomb College in New Orleans in 1950, before leaving school to marry Donald. Frances was a seven-time Louisiana State Trap Shooting Champion from 1963-69. Frances most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, travelling, especially cruising, golfing, playing cards, hunting, and competitive trap shooting.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Sure Access, MD and all of her caregivers.

Frances was laid to rest in a private ceremony at Greenwood Cemetery, Sunday, November 9, 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The Frances K.
