A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Frances Rinchuso Young will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 204 Patton Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Father Karl Daigle. Visitation will be held Friday, September 9, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will take place immediately following the service in Forest Park Cemetery, 3700 St Vincent Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana.
Frances Rinchuso Young Was born in Pine Bluff Arkansas, on November 11, 1927 to Joseph and Carrie Rinchuso, and raised in Louisiana. She passed away, Saturday, September 3, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Frances attended C.E. Byrd High School. She was a long-time member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church and later St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a volunteer (Pink Lady) at Christus Shumpert Hospital and at St. Joseph Altar Society and Catholic Woman’s League and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harry Young; her parents, Joseph & Carrie Pizzolato Rinchuso; and her sisters, Josephine Shropshire, Ann Knight, and Margaret Little; her brother, Leon Rinchuso; and her daughter-in-law, Patricia Young and infant grandson. She is survived by her children, Robert W. Young, Karen Y. Estess, Steven J. Young and wife, Gina, Michael G. Young and wife, Allison, Kathleen Y. Cook and husband, Frank; her sisters, Virginia Smith, and Patricia Perkins; her sisters –in- law, Rose Rinchuso, Margaret Y. Lein, and Annette Young; her grandchildren, Brian Young and wife, Ronda, Jeremy Young, Crystal Y. Miranda and husband, Billy, Catherine Y. Hein, Jennifer E. Skelton and husband, Cody, Richard Estess, Rebecca Y.Krefft and husband, Stephen, Steven Young, Christopher Young, Dena Young, Sarah Y. Koch and husband, Andy, Scott Young and wife, Song, Timothy Emmott and wife, Leigh, Joey Young and wife, Laura, Mary Katherine C. Rossi and husband, David, Bradley Cook and wife, Glenna, Caroline C. Alford and husband, Randy; 31 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express special thanks for the friendship Catherine Gregorio, Mary Leggio and Dottie Hunt provided to Frances throughout her illness. Their strong faith in the Lord brought her much comfort.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Atlantic Ave., Shreveport, LA 71105 or St. Joseph Catholic School, 1210 Anniston Ave., Shreveport, LA 71105.
