Mom, was a country lady born and raised, she enjoyed hunting and fishing with her kids and grandkids but loved working in her yard and raising vegetables in her garden. She always made sure that her garden produced enough vegetables for her extended family and all of her neighbors. She was known for her spicy dill pickles. She always made time for the grandkids, whether it was playing card games or camping out in her camper. She taught all of them how to drive in an old blue truck in her pasture. Thank goodness there were very few trees in the pasture.
She was an active member of Red River Baptist Church during her early childhood and again later in her life when she and our father built a home on her family property.
The family would like to express our deepest gratitude and love to Joy and Billy White, two very special people, for their devotion and dedication to Mom during her stay at Riverview Care Center. Their kindness and love shown to our mother and all of the guests at the center will always be treasured and remembered. Also a special thanks and appreciation to Bert and Beth, her neighbors, for all their love and care for mom over the years.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials may be made in Mom\'s name at Red River Baptist Church in Benton, Louisiana.
