Forest Truman Cornwell

Funeral services for Forest Truman Cornwell, 94, will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery, 8801 Mansfield Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be his son, Forest Cornwell, Jr. Forest was born on June 28, 1927 in Calhoun, Louisiana to Bedford Forest Cornwell and Eunice Ophelia Wilson Cornwell and passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana. Forest was a resident of Shreveport. He served two tours of duty in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. He was a maintenance foreman for Bird & Son Roofing before retiring. He loved to fish and fix and build things. Forest is preceded in death by his parents; nine brothers and sisters; and one son, Ricky Cornwell. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 52 years, Faye Cornwell; sons, James Cornwell and wife, Debra, David Cornwell, Robert Cornwell and wife, Amy, Forest Cornwell, Jr. and wife, Tammy; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Honoring Forest as pallbearers are Ryan Cornwell, Brent Cornwell, Matt Cornwell, Kyle Cornwell, Will Cornwell and Jarred Cornwell.
