Floyd Gene Mitchell

Floyd Gene Mitchell, Sr. was born on July 6, 1950 in Lubbock, Texas to William and Willie Mitchell and passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

He was a truck driver and was always ready for the road. He also worked as a mechanic and in the oil field. He was a hardworking simple man who loved his family, friends and animals. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Atkins; mother of his children, Linda Mitchell and aunt, Bobbie Boulandger. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Floyd Mitchell, Jr.; daughter, Kathy Smith and husband, Philip Brian Smith and brother, Clayton Wayne Mitchell.
