Funeral services for Floy Lee Fuller Cheek, 90, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Visitation with the family will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018. Pastor Chuck McInturf will be officiating. Interment will follow services at Forest Park West Cemetery.
Floy was born on March 18, 1928 in Baskin, LA to Pearl Elizabeth Greer Fuller and Louis Edward Fuller and went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 24, 2018. She was a longtime member of Woodridge Baptist Church and dearly loved her Sunday school class.. Floy retired after many years at AT&T Plant in Shreveport, LA.
Floy was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Woodrow Cheek; son, Woody Cheek; sisters, Myrtis Dees, Ethel Rhinehart, Elizabeth Grooms and Lola Belle Windham; and brothers, George Fuller, Lenard Fuller and Louis Fuller Jr. Left to cherish her beautiful memories are daughter, Vickie Eaves; grandsons, Curtis Cheek and Christopher Cheek and daughter-in-law Tracy Underwood; great-grandson, Kamden Cheek; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Cheek, Christopher Cheek, Frank Earl Rhinehart, Donald Grooms, Danny Fuller, and Bobby Morgan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Grooms, Eric Sutton, Ronnie Brown, and Randy DeMarigny.
A special thank you to the exceptional staff of Aime Inpatient Hospice for giving such loving and compassionate care to Mom as well as Dr. Ajaya Tummala for his true kindness shown toward our family. Also, words cannot express our sincere gratitude to Brother Buck Furlow for his loving guidance in Mom\'s last weeks of life.
