Fernando was born on June 5, 1976 and raised by his grandmother, Maria De Jesus Cruz Rodriguez in Temascaltepec, Mexico and passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 in Arcadia, Louisiana.
He touched the lives and hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Whether it was early mornings at Kwik Trip, spending time out in the woods at work, or even Zwolle Basketball games, he had a way of lighting up every room he walked into and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He left a lasting impression on so many people, and his memory will live on through everyone whose life he touched. He was the sweetest, most kind-hearted soul you could ever meet. He spoke so proudly of his family and worked to provide for us until the very end. His love for us was eternal, and we’ll carry it with us forever.
Fernando was preceded in death by his father, Rufino Quintero Cruz; grandmother, Maria De Jesus Cruz Rodriguez; and father-in-law, Daniel Parrie, Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Michelle Quintero; sons, Gavin Quintero of Many, Louisiana and Marquise Palmer of Alexandria, Louisiana; daughters, Gabriella (Gabs) Quintero, Isabella (Chunky) Quintero, and Lillianna (Lulu) Quintero all of Zwolle, Louisiana; brother, Jose Guadalupe of Mexico; mother-in-law, Valerie Parrie; 2 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Honoring Fernando as pallbearers will be Josh Clarke, James (Plick) Maxie, Dougie Meshell, Daniel Parrie, Jr., Mason Sepulvado, and Gavin Quintero. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Marquise Palmer, Douglas Meshell, Japhen Parrie, and the Meridian Timber Crew.
