Funeral services for Exie Elizabeth Russell, 89, will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Chapel with Pastor David Wedlund officiating. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Interment will be at Forest Park West following services.
Exie was born on June 4, 1928 to Beulah Mae Mayes Williams and Clarence Holland Williams in New Albany, Mississippi and went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 7, 2017.
Exie is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Russell and great-great granddaughter, Faith Turnipseed. Left to cherish her beautiful memories are her daughters, Joyce Russell and Deby Russell; grandchildren, Sherry Taravella, Kevin Adams and Chris Moore; 8 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Judy Norris and Faye Jenkins.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Brenton Turnipseed, Chad Whitman, Earnest Norris, Albert Moore Jr., Garland Kaylor and Gabe Kiefer.
