Houston, TX Ethel Marie Toms Volentine Graveside services for Ethel Marie Toms Volentine, 102, will be held Monday, March 30, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Bienville, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. Officiating will be Rev. Richard Williams. Ethel was born June 12, 1917 in Bienville, Louisiana and entered into rest March 26, 2020 in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Toms, husband, J.W. "Tinker" Volentine, daughter, Mary Helen Smith, son, James "Pete" Volentine, sisters, Etta Toms, Vernie Jordan, Eula Lazenby, Vera Bridges and Jewel Aldy, brothers, Floyd, Elmer, and Earnest Toms, and grandsons, Kenneth Smith, Jr., and Robert "Buddy" George. She is survived by her daughter, Nellie V. Holcomb, grandchildren, Dana Kay Holcomb, James "Jim" Holcomb, Steven Holcomb, Helaine Barrington, and Allen J. George, and numerous great and great great-grandchildren.
