A memorial service for Ethel Marie Harrison, 79, will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home - Southside Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Jimmy Clark of Sycamore Life Ministries. Ethel was born October 24, 1939, in Epps, LA, the oldest of the eleven children of Leroy & Jewel Antee, and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 5, 2019. Preceding her in death were her parents, her brother Roy Antee, and her sisters Helen Paul and Florean Wrather. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years, William "Bill" Harrison, children Janice Heare and husband Cris, Betty Cline, Brenda Miller and husband Jeff, John Little and wife Barbara, Karen FitzGerald and husband Chris, Courtney Miles and husband Jeffrey. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jamie Fleming and husband Brent, Nicholas Weaver and wife Lauran, Brandon Cline and wife Shaina, and Ashlynn Harrison, as well as five brothers, two sisters, and eleven great-grandchildren. After receiving her Business Correspondence certification from Bossier Parish Community College in 1982, she worked until her retirement from Premier Bank in Shreveport. She began her second career as a faculty member and substitute teacher at Walnut Hill Elementary & Middle School, where she was loved by the faculty and her many students. Ethel was a member of the Women of the Moose Organization where she served in many local and state leadership positions. She was a member of the Sycamore Life Ministries where she enjoyed the fellowship and worship services. She greatly enjoyed volunteering countless hours to the Walnut Hill PTA. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Weaver, Brandon Cline, Michael Prothro, Caden Fleming, Austin Weaver, and Cade Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Hardison and Ottis Farrell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in her honor to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, the Mooseheart Foundation, or the charity of your choice.
