Homer, LA: Ernest \"Sonny\" L. Robinett, Jr., 78, passed away after a sudden illness Tuesday, December 5, 2017, to be with the Lord. He was born January 14, 1939, in Liberty, Texas. Sonny is preceded In death by his parents, Ernest and Travis Mae Robinett, his sister and brother-in-law, Scottie and Mickey Moon, and brother-in-law Charles Brown.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda Robinett, sister, Jimmie Brown, brother, Robbie Robinett and wife Sharon, two sons, Chris and wife Denise and Bryan and wife Laura, four grandchildren, Brittany, Rafe, Sydney, and Ethan and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
After completing high school, he served four years in the Air Force. He retired from Chevron as an Oilfield Production Operator in 1992. Sonny greatly enjoyed restoring old trucks, gardening, mowing grass, golf and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Lisbon United Methodist Church in Lisbon, LA.
Visitation was at one o\'clock and funeral ceremony was at two o\'clock at the Lisbon United Methodist Church, and graveside followed at the Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery Friday, December 8, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Lisbon United Methodist Church, Sharon- Buckner Cemetery or Methodist Children\'s Home in Ruston, LA.
