Funeral services for Ernest Jerrell Claybrook, Sr. will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk St., Mansfield, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Bethel Cemetery in Logansport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Lee McClintock. Ernest was born on May 22, 1939 in Patroon, Texas to Ernest and Hazel Claybrook and passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean Register and two brother-in-laws, Sonny Register and Jack Guillotte. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Jerry Davis Claybrook; sons, Ernest "Snake" Claybrook, Jr. and wife, Tammy and Richard Claybrook; step-sons, Kevin Smith and wife, Sabrina and Jud Smith and wife, Sheena; daughters, Sheryl Jones and Karen Daw and husband, Ricky; step-daughter, Stacie Simpson and husband, John; sisters, Bonnie Dyess and husband, Hoyt and Betty Guillotte; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Honoring Ernest as pallbearers will be Dewayne Mitchell, James Pitts, Mike Hall, Ken Kay, George Hayward and Carlos Figueroa.
