Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Emma Lou Ward will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Many Chapel with Bro. Ken Price officiating; with interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Florien, LA. A visitation for her will be held before the funeral from 12:30 PM-2:00 PM at the funeral home. Emma was born June 6, 1947 in Many, LA to Helen Lucille (Moss) Meredith and Arthur Bell and she entered into rest on February 8, 2021 at her residence in Many, LA. Emma had lots of milestones in her lifetime. One of her biggest and most important was the fact that she graduated from Upper Iowa University where she obtained her bachelor's degree in healthcare and family services. She would eventually become a social worker who worked with mentally challenged children. She demonstrated her helpful and caring nature through the love she showed to her family and to her community. Preceding her in death was her father, Mr. Arthur Bell; her sister, Betty Wynn; her brother, Michael Bell; and her stepdad, Robert Meredith. Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Lucille Meredith of Shreveport, LA; her spouse, Morrell Ward of Many, LA; her son, Matthew Ward & wife Amanda of Many, LA; her daughter, Jessica Ward of Many, LA; her sister, Catherine Horn & husband, Jack of Shreveport, LA; her sister, Mary Quarles of Many, LA; her brother, James Bell of Many, LA; and her granddaughters, Sierra Bass, Autumn Ward, Arriannah Ward, and Raylynn Conley. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Matthew Ward, John Wynn, Jack Horn, James Bell, Alex Bell, and Patrick French. Scotty Jackson, Terrell Jackson, Ken Price, and Trevor Parrie will be her honorary pallbearers. Condolences can be made online to the family at www.rose-neath.com.
