Emma Frances (Fran) Storey

A graveside service officiated by Bill Crider will be held for Emma Frances (Fran) Storey on April 18, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Arcadia Cemetery in Arcadia, Louisiana.

Emma Frances (Fran) Barnes Storey was born in White Oak, Mississippi on August 6, 1933. She went to her heavenly home on March 25, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

She married James T. Storey of Arcadia, LA in Vicksburg, MS in 1950 before moving to Minden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron Guy Barnes and Margie Patterson Barnes, husband James Thomas Storey, four brothers, one sister, one grandson.

She is survived by her sons James R. Storey (Connie) of Minden and William Greg Storey (Kathy) of Minden. She had 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Also, the Storey family would like to thank Dr. Earnhardt and staff for their years of care, Dr. Ruiz, Dr. Stell, Dr. Rozeman, Brent Fegley and their team at Minden Medical Center, all of whom went above and beyond to care for Fran. Willis Knighton CCU and their team especially Dr. Alotaibi and Dr. Virani, all of whom worked tirelessly and continuously to care for Fran. Professional Home Health nurses Keisha, Erika, and Kim all of whom took great care of Fran and truly cared about her. A special thank you to Kayla for all the care, kindness and friendship she showed towards Fran.
