Celebration of life and going home service for Emma Jean Mangham, 83, will be held Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Magnolia Baptist Church in Coushatta at 2:00 PM with Bro. Jeff Joyner and Bro. Waylon Cloud officiating. Interment will follow in Weaver Cemetery near Ashland, LA. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021, at the Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home Coushatta chapel from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Mrs. Mangham was born July 4, 1938, in Creston, LA, to James Lawrence and Mildred Walker Pierce and gained her wings on September 2, 2021, in Shreveport, LA, with her family by her bedside at the hospital.
Preceding her in death were her parents; first husband of 33 years and father of her children, A. G. Mangham; second husband of 3 years, G. W. Birdwell; son, Terry Mangham; nephew, Marty Joyner; and two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Johnson and Jim Joyner.
Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Brenda Mangham; son, Ken Mangham and wife, Amy;
twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Liz Johnson and Vicki Joyner; special in-laws, Juanita Mangham, Bob and Lois Mangham and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are grandsons, John Guffey, Jr., Adolphus Bamburg, William Myers, Steven Mangham, Kade Mangham and nephews, Sean Joyner and Keith Johnson and extra pallbearers Sandy Scott and Justin Bamburg. Honorary pallbearers are special neighbor, Frank Rose and friend, John Wayne Hays.
