Emily Flores

Funeral services for Emily Carol Flores, 27, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana.  Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens North in Blanchard, Louisiana.   A visitation will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Officiating the service will be Brother Cecil Marr. 

She was born January 3, 1997 to Troy and Elizabeth Flores in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on March 1, 2024 in Avoyelles Parish.

Emily was a resident of Shreveport and graduated from Northwood High School.  She loved cars, motorcycles and animals, especially cats.  She had a natural ability to cut hair and apply make-up.   She worked part-time at Deer Creek. Emily was a devoted daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend.  Her true passion was being a mother to her twin boys.  She was always willing to lend a helping hand.  If she didn’t know how to fix something she wasn’t afraid to ask for help or look it up on YouTube. Even though she battled her demons with depression, it never stopped her from putting a smile on other people’s faces.   Emily will be deeply missed by so many people; she left her mark on all of our hearts.

Emily was preceded in death by her father, Troy Flores.   She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth “Betsy” Flores; brothers, Brandon Flores and fiancé, Ashleigh and Trace Flores; niece, Hannah; maternal grandparents, Joe “Tinker” Smith, Sr. and wife, Judy and paternal grandparents, Roger Flores and wife, Sharon; stepmother, Carmela Flores; uncles, Joe Smith, Jr., Jason Anderson, Matt Smith and Frankie Smith and wife, Brandi; aunts, Holly Jones and husband, Daniel and Mary Garner and husband, Ronnie; numerous cousins; the man made for her, Stacie and their sons, Ronin and Ruben and her best friend, Gabi Alton and husband, Chase and fairy godson, Emerson Alton.

Honoring Emily as pallbearers will be Jason Anderson, Brandon Flores, Trace Flores, Daniel Jones, Joe Smith, Jr. and Matt Smith.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Smith, Tyler Smith, Kalob Wright and Stacie.
