Elton Myers

Memorial services celebrating the life of Elton Myers, 78 of Mansfield, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2023, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Chapel, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Rev. McKee Williams. Visitation will be held from noon until time of service on Friday, December 22, 2023, at the funeral home.

Elton was born on October 27, 1945, in Shreveport, Louisiana to J.D. and Marion Myers and entered into rest on Thursday, December 14, 2023, in Mansfield, Louisiana. He served in the United States Navy. Elton was known as “Poppa E” to everyone.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Roger Myers; and his son, Mitchell Myers. Left to cherish his memory include his wife of ten years, Alice Myers; sons, Robbie Beard (Ashley), Clay Beard, Jason Beard, Bryan Humphrey, and Casey Boykin (Donna); daughter, Katie Conner (Will); sisters, Nita Ware, and Diana Konczol (Jim); brothers, Bing Myers (Charlotte Scott) and Eddie Myers (Gaye); grandchildren, Jason Beard, Braxton Beard, Kaylee Kennedy, Taylor Kennedy, Mason, Bailey, and Sara; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Mansfield Nursing Center and DeSoto Regional Hospital.
