Elton Edgerson, Jr. “Sonny Boy” entered into eternal rest on August 30, 2023 in Bossier City, Louisiana. He was born on February 25, 1939 in Potash, Louisiana to Elton Edgerson, Sr. and Enola Branch Edgerson.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Mt. Zion Memorial Park Cemetery in Buras, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Rev. John C. Ragas.

Elton was married in Holy Matrimony to Lorraine W. Edgerson. He was a hard-working man and crane operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton Sr. and Enola Edgerson; four sons; one daughter, and his wife, Lorraine W. Edgerson. Left to cherish his memory are his 10 children, Erica (Leander) Gaines, Sr., Elton Edgerson, III (Bridget), Eldrich (Charlotte) Edgerson, Sr., Cashara (late Daniel) Stephens, Jeovannah, late Bryce (April) Edgerson, Sr., late Ellis, Jonathan, Casandra, and Edward Edgerson; siblings, Sandra, Joann, Iris, and late Joyce Edgerson; grandchildren, great-grandchildren along with numerous cousins and friends.
