Elsie May "Nanny" Savant Lindsey

Elsie May “Nanny” Savant Lindsey, 82, of Keithville, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on October 23, 2023. She was born on January 21, 1941, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Alford and Lillian Savant.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport. Officiating the service will be Bro. David Venable. Interment will be held at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road in Shreveport.

Elsie had been married to her husband Joseph, for 59 years. She spent her life working and taking care of her family and extended family. She enjoyed fishing, ceramics, garage sales, and attending all her babies birthday parties. She loved her cats, drinking coffee, and most of all, spending time with her loved ones.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, Alford and Lillian Savant; her husband, Joseph Lindsey; and her sons, Joseph Wayne Lindsey, Paul Lindsey, and Steve Lindsey. Left to cherish her memory include her sons, Kenny Lindsey and wife Terry, Carl Lindsey and wife Jane, and daughters-in-law, Terri Lindsey and Sue Lindsey; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and relatives.

Honoring Elsie as pallbearers will be Tony Lindsey, T-Paul Lindsey, Joseph Lindsey, Garren Lindsey, Glenn Lindsey, and Wesley Lindsey. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tony LeJeune, Brandon Caldwell, Donnie Thurman, and Michael Easley.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the dedicated people that helped Elsie at her home and took care of her over this last year.
