Lucille "Eloise" Putsch graduated into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 89 on October 4, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Eloise was born June 21, 1932 in Robeline, Louisiana. She graduated as Valedictorian from Marthaville High School in 1949 and attended Draughon's Business School in Shreveport learning stenography and typing. She would then work as a civil servant at Barksdale Air Force Base for the next 42 years. During that time she raised five children teaching them the importance of loving God and family. Eloise, or "Sug" as she was called by her parents, siblings, nieces and nephew, loved to travel and especially enjoyed the holiday season cooking and sharing meals with her extended family. Her wit and humor were evident throughout her life.
Eloise is survived by her five children, Steve (Jean) Palmerton, Vicki (David) Slack, Susan (Richard) Levy, Donna (Chris) Patrick, and David Putsch. Eloise had eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Edward Sepulvado; sister, Hazel Norwood; and brother, Melvin Sepulvado.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Broadmoor United Methodist Church, 3715 Youree Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana with visitation at 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. service. Eloise will be laid to rest at Beulah Cemetery next to the church she attended as a little girl.
Pallbearers are David Putsch, Scott Nicholas, David Slack, Bryant Palmerton, Richard Levy, and Statton Frank. Honorary pallbearers are Donald Norwood and Billy Gambino.
A special debt of gratitude is owed to her daughters, Vicki, Susan, and Donna who took care of Eloise the last 10 years. We would have lost the joy of her presence many years sooner if not for their tireless efforts.
