SHREVEPORT, LA - A Memorial service celebrating the life of Elmer James "Peanut" Stahl, 72, will be held at 11:00 a.m. August 9, 2018, at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Father Joe Martina. A Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by a visitation from 10:30 a.m. until service time in the chapel.
Elmer was born October 18, 1945, in Shreveport, LA to Rose Helen Biondo Stahl and Eugene Elmer Stahl and passed away August 5, 2018, in Shreveport, LA. He retired from the City of Shreveport, after 34 years of loyal service, where he worked in the Engineering Department. Elmer was a Parishioner at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 39 years, Jane Burkett Stahl; son, Ray "Bubba" Stahl; daughters, Mary Stahl May and husband Rodney, Sandi White, Maggie Stahl McLendon and husband Reed, and Kimberly Ann Durr and husband David; grandchildren, Michael Stahl, Melanie Ellers, Marissa White, Paityn White, Austin Sharpley, Alleigh Sharpley, Jordon May, Gracie May, McKenzie McLendon and the soon to be expected, Max Alexander McLendon; three great-grandchildren; brother, Bruce Stahl and his late wife Gail; sister, Gloria Thomas and husband E.C. and numerous nieces and nephews.
