A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Elizabeth Francine Umling will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Reverend Emmanuel Akpobolokemi of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Waskom, Texas will officiate the service. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Road, Bossier City, Louisiana.
Elizabeth Francine Umling was born November 18, 1988, in Redding, California to David and Margie Umling and passed away surrounded by loved ones, Saturday, July 10, 2021, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Elizabeth graduated from Exeter-West Greenwich High School in Rhode Island in 2007 and received an associate degree from the Community College of Rhode Island. Elizabeth loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, listening to music and watching movies. She was an avid pool player and was a member of a pool league. She will always be remembered for her strong spirit and her unique character.
She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Edward C. Umling and Charles H. Shaffer; and uncle, Timothy P. Umling.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents; sisters, Faith N. Jackson and husband, Julius, Katherine R. Candler and husband, Brandon, and Victoria G. Umling; brother, Elijah D. Umling and wife, Samantha; grandmothers, Claudine Shaffer and Rosella Umling; nieces, Ava and Arabella; nephews, David Axel and Hudson; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Honoring Elizabeth as pallbearers will be Elijah Umling, Bubba Shaffer, Bill Chavez, Jason Shaffer, Jeremy Shaffer, Julius Jackson, Brandon Candler and Nicholas O'Connor.
