Funeral services for Elizabeth Elaine Lusby McInturf, 93, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Woodridge Baptist Church, 850 E. Bert Kouns in Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service. Officiating will be Dr. Richard Blue. Interment will be at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery, 8801 Mansfield Rd. in Shreveport with the graveside officiated by Dr. Todd Blount.
Elaine was born on September 29, 1932, in Kilgore, Texas to William Robert and Lovonia Bell Hughie Lusby. She was a resident of Shreveport and moved into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 27, 2026.
She came to faith in Christ at the age of 15 and was baptized at Laurel Heights Baptist Church. She was a Youth Sunday School Teacher at Robinson Place Baptist Mission, and taught the Woodridge Baptist Senior Adult Ladies Sunday School Class for over thirty years. She and her husband, Don, served on church mission trips after retirement.
Elaine worked as a Pre-K teacher at Cherokee Park Day Care and Bossier City First Baptist Church Day Care, where she also served as the Assistant Director. She shaped a generation to follow Christ and will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor and faithfulness to the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Don H. McInturf; her parents; daughter-in-law, Carol Kight McInturf; grandson, Charles Brennen McInturf; siblings, Irma Leon, James Lusby, Rudolph Lusby, Kenneth Lusby, Barbara Miley, Nellie Lusby and Betty Jo Lusby.
Left to cherish her memories include: her daughter, Vickie Blue (Richard); sons, John McInturf and Chuck McInturf (Stefanie), seven grandchildren: Richard Blue, Jr. (Renee), Michael Blue (Laura), Kelli Hill (Josh), Kerri Blount (Todd), April DiChiara (Ben), Erin Fredieu, Lindsay Austin (Sam), Audrey Ellzey McInturf; sixteen great-grandchildren, Brayden Blue, Reese Blue, Rhyan Blue, Nicholas Blue, Sophia DiChiara, Tag DiChiara, Tristin Blount, Jude Blount, Asa Blount, Ezra Hill, Morgan Hill, Camellia Hill, Libby Fredieu, Oliver Austin, Alaina Austin, and Ella McInturf. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons, Richard Blue, Jr, Michael Blue, Todd Blount, Josh Hill, Ben DiChiara, and Sam Austin.
