Elizabeth Byrd Winham

Funeral services for Bernice Elizabeth Byrd Winham, 92, will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating will be Pastor Justin Haigler. Elizabeth was born January 29, 1929 in Caddo Parish, Louisiana to Robert Byrd and Bernice Stroud Byrd. She was called home on November 20, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisisana. Elizabeth spent her time sewing and perfecting her garden. Throughout Elizabeth's years she worked at Bossier Bank and Trust Co., Airline High School and retired from Bossier Parish Community College. After she retired, she spent her time traveling with her husband in their fifth wheel. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Benjamin Winham Jr.; brother, Robert Byrd and grandson, Ryan Winham. She is survived by her children, Charles Winham III (Jay), Richard Winham and wife, Cindy, Nancy Scripture and husband, John and Elizabeth Opperman (Missy); brother, John Stroud Bryd; grandchildren, Jeff Winham, Jill Czanstkowski, Nathan Winham, Sarah Bell, John Scripture, Kyle Scripture, Nikki Ohl, Daniel Opperman and Emily Royer; 22 great-grandchildren, Lexy Winham, Ruby Winham, Addie Winham, Sloan Winham, Sydney Czanstkowski, Jacob Czanstkowski, Ali Czanstkowski, Connor Scripture, Coleman Scripture, Cameron Scripture, Madison Dooley, Caleigh Dooley, Ryan Dooley, Lana Grace Dooley, Shelby-Kate Ohl, Matthew Scripture, Logan Scripture, Parker Jones, Tinley-Kate Bell, Elizabeth Grace Royer, Avery Opperman and Bishop Opperman. Honoring Elizabeth as pallbearers will be her grandsons, John Scripture, Kyle Scripture, Jeff Winham, Nathan Winham, Daniel Opperman. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Ryan Winham.
