Eletha "June" Koppie

A funeral service celebrating the life of Eletha Ann "June" Koppie, 71, will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Union Hall Baptist Church in Coushatta. Officiating will be Bro. Matt Endris, pastor of Fairview Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery in Coushatta. The family will receive friends at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 until service time. June was born on September 25, 1950 in Coushatta, LA to Pinkston "Hoss" Edward and Pearl Dickson Blanchard and passed away December 6, 2021 in Coushatta, LA. She loved to travel and rode across the country with her husband. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved shopping, especially for jewelry. Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Angela Holman; sisters, Jeanette Adams and Judy Blanchard Cardino; brothers, Glen Blanchard and Henry "Perk" Blanchard. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Leon "Buck" Koppie; daughter, Sonya Coleman and husband, Kelly; sister, Elizabeth Perot; brother, Charles Blanchard and wife, Susan; grandchildren, Thomas Chambers, Spencer Coleman and wife, Samantha, Taylor Coleman and boyfriend, Cody and Paige Conley; great-grandchildren, Tucker Coleman and Emma Coleman; and a host of nieces and nephews. Honoring June as pallbearers will be Kelly Coleman, Spencer Coleman, Cody Potts, Thomas Chambers, Douglas Ates and Stanley Shoemaker. Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Koppie, Tucker Coleman, and Roger Edwards.
