Elaine Stubblefield

Funeral services celebrating the life of Elaine Stubblefield, age 95 will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Ferry Lake Baptist Church, 10179 Ferry Lake Road, Oil City, LA. Officiating will be Daryl Griffin grand son-in-law of Mrs. Stubblefield. Interment will follow at Mooringsport Memorial Gardens in Mooringsport, LA. There will be a time of visitation on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mrs. Stubblefield was born in Oil City, LA on November 20,1930 to Frank S. Moore and Rozelle Marting Moore and went to meet her Lord and Savior on August 6, 2026. She was a registered LPN at the P&S Hospital, Doctor’s Hospital and went to work at North Caddo Medical Center in 1965 and after many years of service there was where she retired. Mrs. Stubblefield was the last charter member of the Ferry Lake Baptist Church where she loved to paint on Wednesday mornings with her dear friends. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Stubblefield was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Troy Stubblefield, Sr. and two sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Troy Stubblefield, Jr. and wife, Vickie of Bossier City, LA; daughters, Pamela Sneed of Shreveport, LA and Barbara Pearson of Bossier City, LA. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson to be born in October.

Honoring Mrs. Stubblefield as pallbearers will be Andrew Huff, Troy Griffin, Logan White, Layton White, Jesse Luce and Danny Burney.
