Edward “Mr. Ed” graduated from DeValls Bluff High School and was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War and served two and a half years. Edward married Billie Jo Hulsey in 1955 and they were married for 55 years.  He worked in the heating and air-conditioning business in Little Rock, Arkansas before moving to Louisiana. He also worked as a salesman for supplemental vitamins as part of an Art Linkletter business and was an avid “Health Food Enthusiast” way before it became a popular trend.  He worked for Universal Heating and Air-Conditioning in Bossier City for several years prior to starting his own business, Robinson and Sons Air-Conditioning. He ran his own business for over thirty years. He was the secretary for the Full Gospel Businessmen Association as well as many other church related organizations. Mr. Ed will be remembered by many as the man in the coveralls that helped many people in the northwest Louisiana area. He always would say, “My Children are my Glory on Earth” and his motto was, “As long as you work to help mankind, you will never fail.” He also said he was helping the old people and the old widow women that didn’t have anyone to help them even when he was one of the old people himself.

Edward “Mr. Ed” was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Blanche Robinson; an infant brother; two sisters, Nancy Garcia and Wanda Self; and his wife, Billie Jo “Mrs. Jo” Robinson. Left to cherish his memories include his children, DeWanna Barnes, James Robinson and wife, Sandy, Bobby Robinson and wife, Kathy, Donna Robison and husband, Fred Wiggins, Chris Robinson along with 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. He also has four nieces and one nephew.

In lieu of flowers, we would ask that you donate to the Grawood Baptist Church Pillow Ministry or Joyful Hearts. Mr. Ed loved being a part of these two groups that were also very special to his wife, Mrs. Jo, where he stepped in after her passing in 2010 to help continue her legacy of service to these groups.
