Edward Lettell Florence, Sr

Edward Lettell Florence, Sr. age 75 of Vivian, LA was born January 10, 1948 in Vivian, LA to Roy Lettel Florence and Willie Annie Terry and went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 23, 2023 at the Intensive Specialty Hospital in Shreveport, LA.

Edward was a daylight driller in the oilfield, he was an avid hunter and loved fishing with his son and brother. He also enjoyed working on his niece’s race car.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, second wife, Betty Fern Wright Florence, third wife, Judy Ann Gregson Florence; infant sons, Zan Thomas Florence and Baby Boy Florence and his sister, Deborah Faye Florence.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Bubba Florence and wife, Betty Ann of Bloomburg. TX; brother, Louis Florence and wife Cheryl of Vivian, LA; 3 step-sisters, Brenda Hindsman of Vivian, LA, Lynn Palumbo of Vivian, LA and Bea Terry of Mooringsport, LA; step-brother, Donnie Smith of Vivian, LA. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Mandie Toland of Galveston, TX, Joe Scott Oliver of Cincinnati, OH and Richard Carroll Oliver of Cincinnati, OH; 1 great granddaughter, Brittany Ramirez; 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
