Eddie Joseph McMills, Jr.

Eddie Joseph McMills, Jr., age 84, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at the Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

Mr. Eddie had a love for good food, especially catfish, which was one of his favorites to enjoy with family and friends. Known for his confidence and skill in many areas, he often proudly called himself “the master of all trades,” a title that perfectly captured his hardworking spirit and his ability to fix or create just about anything.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Gary (Cynthia) McMills of Baton Rouge; daughter, Chalayne McMills of Marksville; sister, Sissy (Jim) Dillon of Grant. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Joan McMills; parents, Eddie Joseph McMills, Sr. & Pearl Greenwell McMills; along with several siblings.

Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Marksville have been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
