Dylan Lane Sepulvado was born on May 31, 1993, to Rodney and Juanita Sepulvado, and unexpectedly left this earth on February 11, 2026.
Dylan carried a quiet strength about him. After being born with hypoplastic right heart syndrome, surviving twelve heart surgeries, and numerous pacemakers, Dylan received a heart transplant at age 10. Dylan’s family is eternally grateful to the Rhoden family for the 22 extra years they received with Dylan because of a selfless decision during the worst time.
Dylan spent his life giving back to others, working as an RN in the adolescent psych unit at Brentwood Hospital of Shreveport for the majority of his career. Dylan loved his job and he loved everyone he came into contact with through it.
It is hard to sum him up in a few paragraphs. Dylan truly lived his life to the fullest, sometimes waking up and picking a spot on the map to take a trip to. Dylan stood firm in his beliefs, and when he loved you, he loved you fully. He had an affinity for music in all forms, but especially loved Jimmy Buffett.
Dylan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Shelby Thomas; best friend, Elyssa Jacobs; and his sidekick pup, Zeplin. Left to cherish his memory are his Mom; Dad; Bonus Mom, Kristy; Sister, Savannah Meshell (Ryan); Sister, Summer Bounds (Matt); Brother, Tyler Sepulvado; Nieces, Delilah, Lily, and Rosie Bounds; Nephew, Grayson Meshell; Grandparents, Sue Thomas, and Justin and Shirley Davis; Uncles, Greg Sepulvado and Rob Roy; Aunts, Penny Davis, Lori Sepulvado, and Vicki Sepulvado; Cousins, Mason Stillwell, Chad Sepulvado, Sarah Moore, James Roy and Robert Roy; and Dylan’s pup, Ziggy Stardust.
Services for Dylan will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., with visitation to be held prior from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Both visitation and services will be held at Rose-Neath Southside. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Shreveport or LOPA.
