Graveside services for Dwight "Willie" Williams, 77, will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Longwood, Louisiana at 10:00 a.m.
Willie lived in Mooringsport, Louisiana. He was born in Poughkeepsie, New York on November 7, 1947, and passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, after a brief illness in Shreveport.
Willie did a tour in the Air Force from 1966 to 1972 before leaving to pursue other interests.
He was an honest, hardworking man all his life. He never met anyone he didn't like and always had a kind word for everyone. He enjoyed spending time with friends and especially liked to discuss politics with his friend, Marvin. His favorite hobbies included watching the sun rise over Caddo Lake, fishing, cook-outs, singing George Strait karaoke, and working around his home.
He was an avid supporter of the CBN Christian Broadcasting Network.
In lieu of flowers, his friends suggest memorials be made to CBN Christian Broadcasting Network and designate the money to be put towards the Children's Program. They may be reached at 800-700-7000.
Left to cherish his memory are his special friends, Michelle Jackson and Lisa Rochelle, plus too many other friends to mention.
Serving as pallbearers will be Lonnie Jackson, Patrick Wren, Billy Evans, Allen Finch, Mike Cox and Kenny Polk.
Willie was one of a kind, and his friends will mourn the loss of such a good, kind and loyal friend.
