Duane Walter Bennett

Duane “PawPaw” Walter Bennett, 58, was born on March 1, 1967, to John Bennett and Bernice Van Leuven in Middletown, New York, and passed away on February 19, 2026, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Duane was a devoted family man whose greatest joy in life was his grandchildren. Nothing made him happier than spending time with them, and he held each one especially close to his heart. His love for family was steady, deep, and unmistakable, shaping the way he lived and the way he cared for the people around him.

He had a passion for trucking and took great pride in the work he did. When he wasn’t on the road, he enjoyed woodworking, creating things with his hands that reflected both skill and patience. Duane also loved his dogs, his Twisted Tea, and the simple comfort of being surrounded by the family and close friends he cherished. His life was built on loyalty, laughter, and the kind of everyday moments that become lasting memories. Duane will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him.
