Dr. Arnold M. Castellano

Shreveport, LA. - A celebration of life for Dr. Arnold M. Castellano, age 80, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Shreveport Community Church in the youth sanctuary with Pastor Denny Duron, assisted by Pastor Brian Opbroek officiating. Dr. Castellano was born in Pittston, PA, on October 28, 1935 to Michael A. Castellano and Anna Rose Forlenza Castellano and passed away on September 22, 2016 in Shreveport, LA after lengthy illnesses. He was a resident of Shreveport and a Doctor of Podiatry. He graduated from Ohio University and Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. He was a member of Shreveport Community Church, and enjoyed his Wise and Wonderful Fellowship Group. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Dr. Castellano was a devoted husband, father and "Papa" to his family whom he loved dearly. Dr. Castellano is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Anna Rose Castellano. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Friedell Castellano; sons, Michael Anthony Castellano, Arnold Miller Castellano, Jr. and wife, Dee Ann Williams Castellano; daughter, Patricia Castellano Ertz and husband, Dr. Stephen Ertz and sister, Marlene Hermann. Dr. Castellano is also survived by his grandchildren, Brittany Butters, Connor Castellano, Carson Castellano, Allie-Marie Castellano, Brennan Ertz and Michael Castellano, Jr. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to all of his physicians, nurses and caregivers for their love and care of our loved one.
