Doyle was born on March 12, 1934 in Cleveland, Arkansas to Bud and Alma Crow Brents and passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 in Shreveport.
Doyle was a lifetime over-the-road truck driver for TG&Y, JB Beaird, and as an independent trucker before retiring. He started driving log trucks off a mountain at 14 years old. The men working would ride down on the last truck out unless dad was last. If so, they camped out. He married young and raised three children. He lived up to his own standards and never stepped back from any responsibility. He was a charming and charismatic man. He loved professional football and telling jokes. We could never tell dad a joke he didn't know. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Hollie E. Brents; and brothers, Berkie, James and Joe. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Teressa D. Thompson and husband, Brad; Stephen D. Brents and wife, Cindy; and Tim F. Brents and wife, Becky; six grandchildren, Amee, Melissa, Lori, Jessica, Abigail and Joshua; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.
Honoring Doyle as pallbearers will be Tim Brents, Stephen Brents, Brad Thompson, Shelton Wiggins, Hayden Hensley and Chase Walker.
