Dorothy Lavern Willis Wentworth

A graveside service for Dorothy Lavern Wentworth, 80, will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Rd., Bossier City, Louisiana.

Officiating the service will be Bro. Paul Navarre. Lavern was born March 31, 1944, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Newman L. Willis and Mamie Palmer-Willis and passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024, in Shreveport.

Lavern is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Jerry Willis, Doyle Willis, Faye Kingsley, Shirley Porter, Sarah Shelton, and Katherine Ann Attaway. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Clarence Wentworth; sons, Richard Wentworth, Wayne Wentworth, Tommy Wentworth, and Timmy Wentworth; daughters, Debra Wallace, and Audrey Besch; grandchildren, Dylan Brossette, Madison Sullivan, Jennifer Wallace, Heather Wallace, Cheyenne Vascocu, Kristin Brillo; and great-grandchild, Noah Brillo.

Honoring Lavern as pallbearers will be Richard Wentworth, Tommy Wentworth, Timothy Wentworth, Jason Wallace, Andrew Vascocu, and James Barnett.

Everyone is invited to a “Celebration of Life” reception following the graveside service for Lavern at 2947 Duncan Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana 71119.

Lavern will be terribly missed. The family will forever love and cherish her memory.
