Dorothy Raye Poya Hoffee

Services honoring the life of Dorothy Raye Poya Hoffee, 85, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 23, 2021, at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church, 1050 W Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating will be Father Mark Watson. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, LA. Dorothy was born on December 21, 1935, in Fairfield, Illinois to Al and Ethel Teeter Poya and passed away on August 16, 2021. Family was the most important part of her life. Dorothy began each morning with prayers for all. Her knowledge, wisdom, reverence and caring nature will be missed by all who are left to remember her. Dorothy retired from the Department of Motor Vehicle. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Keith Leonard Al Hoffee and Mark King Hoffee. Left to cherish her memories are daughters, Kelly and husband Don, and Christine; grandchildren, Ashley and husband, Chad, Melissa and husband, Ryan, Heather and husband, Matt and Mark; great grandchildren Devin, Audrey, Kinzee, Hadley, Case, Ada, and Ryder. The family extends a special thanks to her friends and neighbors.
