Funeral services for Dorothy Jones, 83, will be held on at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Rocky Maddox. Dorothy was born on March 8, 1938 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Joseph Corbett and Ossie Campbell Corbett and passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 in Bossier City, Louisiana. She retired from Pioneer Bank after over 20 years working in the Accounting Department. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader. She enjoyed murder mystery books and was known for trading in the books she already read for new ones. She was not known for having a green thumb, according to her husband, she had a "black thumb". She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gerald Corbett. Left to cherish her memory her husband, Wallace Harold Jones; daughters, Karen Dean Wilson and husband, Damon and Lisa Jones Weitzel and husband, Mikael; grandchildren, William John Frank Wilson and wife, Amy, Kristin Wilson, Hope Herrington and husband, Matthew and Mike Weitzel, Jr. and great-grandchildren, Dylan Wilson and Jaxon Wilson. Honoring Dorothy as pallbearers will be William John Frank Wilson, Andy Stephenson, Jason Brook, Shawn Witherton, James Underwood and Gerald Fletcher. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Wilson, Jaxon Wilson, Marcus Jones, Micheal Jones, Bubba Corbettt and Kenny Crawford.
