Dorothy Ann Hester

Funeral services for Dorothy Ann Hester, 69, will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, January 16, 2026, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home 1315 Ringgold Ave. Coushatta, Louisiana with Sister Linda Chance officiating. Burial will follow at Thomas Wren Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. service time Friday, January 16, 2026, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Coushatta.

Dorothy was born on February 11, 1956, in San Juan, Texas to Virgil and Jimmie Comer and entered into rest January 8, 2026, at her home in Waskom, Texas. Dorothy loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Dorothy spent many years working at the Coushatta Clinic in the Medical Records Office.

Preceding Dorothy in death was her dad, Virgil Comer; her husband Henry Hester; sister Ruth Comer; and brother-in-law Donald Ashcraft.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Eric Hester; grandchildren, Kylie Hester and John Henry Hester; mother, Jimmy Comer; sister, Judy Ashcraft; brother’s, Lee Comer and Chris Comer (Melissa) and a host of nieces and nephews.

Those honoring the life of Dorothy as pallbearers will be Clint Comer, CJ Comer, Jason Adcock, Daylon Ayers, Mike Vancent, Thomas Waters, Lee Comer and Chris Comer.
