Dorothy Eleanor Bush

Keithville, LA - Dorothy Eleanor Lantz Bush age 85, passed away on December 9, 2019 in Keithville, Louisiana. Mrs. Bush was born to Donald Lantz, Sr. and Statie Smith Lantz on July 31, 1934 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Her parents moved to Shreveport, La, in 1946. She graduated from Fair Park High School in 1952, then she graduated from Dallas Christian College in 1956. She went to work for Highland Clinic in the business office. She met the love of her life in 1958 and married in November to Donald Ray Bush. They went on to have three wonderful children. Mrs. Bush taught piano to numerous children. Mrs. Bush was a perfect example of a Christian woman. She played the church piano and organ all her life. She was a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher as well. Mrs. Bush was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Lantz Bush. She is survived by her husband of 61 years; children, Delayne Bush, Donna Bush, Danette Smith and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Amanda Parnell and husband Brandon, Emily Harris and husband Stephen, Spencer Smith, and Riley Smith; four great grandchildren; brother, Donald Lantz, Jr. and wife Dottie. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at the Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, at Forest Park West, 4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA. Brother Richard Cullum will be officiating the service. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Robert Martin, Dr. Scott McRight, Thompson Home Health, and Life Path Hospices, especially Mrs. Ernestine, for their excellent care.
