Doris Alcorn Wynn

Doris Alcorn Wynn, age 77, passed away peacefully, November 9, 2022 at home with her beloved husband of 61 years, Billy, by her side.

Doris was a retired Caddo Parish bus driver and loved to sew, quilt and create beautiful crafts with her hands. She loved spending time with family and friends as well as travelling with Billy.

Doris is survived by her husband, Billy Wynn; grandson Chad Blackwell and wife, Bonnie; “adopted” son and daughter, Mark and Becky Garcie; three brothers, Billy Joe Alcorn, Frank “Edward” Alcorn and Henry “Ellis” Alcorn; two sisters, Sheila Jane Daniels and Laura Eyvone Jones. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sondra Gail Blackwell; brothers, Zeamon Lee Alcorn, Carl Wiley Alcorn, James Byron Alcorn; and sister, Patsy Ann Watkins.

Please join us in celebrating her life with a visitation on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr. in Shreveport from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held Monday, November 14, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Southside.

Honoring Doris as pallbearers will be Chad Blackwell, Billy Joe Alcorn, Mark Garcie, Ronnie Mulford, Ed Pierce, Tom Wynn and Rhett Josting.

The family would like to thank Dr. Bob Martin and his staff at Ark-La-Tex Cardiology for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Doris during her illness.
