Doris Imogene McDonald

Graveside services for Doris Imogene McDonald, age 90 will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Munnerlyn Chapel Cemetery in Ida, LA. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Jerry Means, pastor of Ida Methodist Church. There will be a time of visitation on Friday, November 3^rd at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA. from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Mrs. McDonald was born in Ida, LA on May 26, 1927 to Freeman Paul "Skinny" and Pearl Brown Whetstone and passed away on October 31, 2017 at North Caddo Medical Center. Mrs. McDonald is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Byron McDonald and grandson, Patrick McCarty. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Douglass and husband, Kevin of Doddridge, AR and Cherry McCarty and husband, Joe of Ida, LA; sister, Reba Cater of Rodessa, LA; brother-in-law, Arlis Frizzell of Rodessa, LA. Mrs. McDonald is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
