Donna Marie McDonald

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Donna Marie McDonald, 68, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial to follow the service at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Conner McDonald.

Donna was born March 4, 1954, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Waymon Etier and Jo Marie Scalia Etier, and passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in Benton, Louisiana.

Donna enjoyed the company of others, especially her family. She would do anything for her grandchildren. She went to all of her grandchildren’s events. She loved herself a good game of BINGO! She was always excited to go out to eat, her favorite place to go was Texas Roadhouse to get a steak, and a close second was Mexican food. She had a passion for animals, especially dogs. Donna was a loving wife, mother, Meme, sister, and friend who was adored by all and will be greatly missed.   

Donna is preceded in death by her parents. she is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard “Rick” A. McDonald, Sr.; son, Rick A. McDonald, Jr. and wife, Pamela; daughter, Christina Thompson and husband, Trey; brothers, Mark Etier and wife, Sonja, Wayne Etier and wife, Cathy; grandchildren, Conner McDonald and wife, Aidan, Lily Claire McDonald, Madi McDonald, Dawson Thompson, and Riley Thompson.  

Honoring Donna as pallbearers will be Rick McDonald, Jr., Trey Thompson, Dawson Thompson, Mark Etier, Wayne Etier, and Billy Jones.
