Donna Johnson

Donna Johnson passed away quietly in her sleep on June 16, 2026. She was born on September 7, 1958, in Coushatta, Louisiana, to her parents John and Viola Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Alvin Johnson.

Donna was known as a firecracker—loud, colorful, and full of life. She had an incredible creative spirit and could turn almost anything into something beautiful. Family often joked she was a true crafting queen.

For Donna, love was shown through action. If she cared for you, she didn't just say it; she painted, drew, or sewed something beautiful specifically for you. She felt most connected to her family through quality time spent together. She leaves behind three children: Dona Crawford and her husband Carl, Robert Johnson and his wife Kim, and Leigh Lofton and her husband Todd. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, her siblings Johnny Johnson and his wife Sherry, Wilma Coleman, Sharon Descant and her husband Bubba, Sheila Randle and her husband Otis, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana, Donna found comfort in her faith. She enjoyed painting, sewing intricate patterns, and hunting for unique treasures at thrift stores.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Town and Country Health and Rehab and Passages Hospice for their care and support during this time.

A memorial service will be held at Airline Drive Church of Christ on Saturday, June 20th at 1 PM.
