Donald Ray Snead

A Celebration of Life for Donald Ray Snead, 92, will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Mansfield Golf and Country Club, 1629 LA 513, Mansfield, Louisiana.

Donald Ray Snead was born on November 12, 1933, in Martin, Louisiana to Taylor Daniel Snead and Lillian Jowers, and passed away July 5, 2026, in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Donald was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying golfing, hunting, and fishing. Donald served in the United States Airforce, then later in life dedicated his time to his family and his community, where he retired from his position as a school bus driver after many years in service. There was nothing Donald loved more than his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchild, and making people laugh.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor and Lillian Snead; sister, Evelyn VansArdel; brother, Reginald Snead and great niece, Steffany Martin.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 68 years, Laura Chreene Snead; sons, Stacey DeWayne Snead (Liz), and Jason Ray Snead; daughter, Linda Annette Crawford (Johnny); grandchildren, Courtney, Cody, Cassie, Justin, and Megan; seventeen great-grandchildren Carlee, Connie, Anna, Hatten, Josie, Daniel, Breeland, Jameson, Kaylieh, Jessie, Cody Claire, Chris, Zach, Makenna, Camille, Cutter; great great-grandchild, Macksyne, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
