Funeral services for Donald "Pappy" Smith will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. D.J. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Hurricane Cemetery in Athens, Louisiana. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. prior service time.
Donald was born October 12, 1943 in La Junta, Colorado and entered into rest March 14, 2020 in Sibley, Louisiana. He served his country in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Tessie Smith, father, Drew Smith, wife, Juanita Smith, daughter, Cheryl Martin, brothers, Mike R. Smith and David Smith and great grandson, Evan James Martin.
He is survived by his son, David Cleveland, daughter, Sharon Peddy and husband Darrell, brothers, Jack Martin and wife Shiela, and Gene Smith and wife Becky, grandchildren, Jason and Gloria Migues, and Andrew Martin.
